im doing a powerpoint for class and i need to know how much energy a state uses in 1 year, i also would like to know of any sites that i could use that tell me about unconventional energy sources

  1. States use a lot of different types of energy in a year.

    Obviously, it depends on the State.  North Dakota probably uses less than say, New York.   A different way to look at it might be how much energy does a person use per year (this is called 'per capita').  Multiply that by the number of people in a state.

    Also, the types of energy used -for example heating oil.  Many states in the north and eastern parts of the country use lots of it.  California uses none.

    So check sites like WWW.ENERGY.CA.GOV / ELECTRICITY / US PERCAPITA ELECTRICITY 2003 to find out how much each state is using.
