  1. On a positive note, did you know that you can help the world's environment by planting a virtual tree?

This is not only fun and inexpensive - but also results in having a real tree planted.

Check it out - and remember - every action has a reaction and that includes positive actions too, not just the negative ones.

You could even plant a tree in another person's name as a Christmas present to them.  You know, for those who say - "Don't send me a present (or a card) do something positive for someone in need or for the good of the planet!"

  2. At most it works out about a £1's worth extra per day for each household with the lights, or so it was said on tv last night.  Not sure that I believe it.

  3. Xmas lights ? all i no is that Xmas times all mines gone , but the kids seem to have more ha ha  i  wonder why and father xmas has the most he has too all the children he has to deliver to poor him xx

  4. About 1/100,000th of the energy wasted due to single glazed rented (usually) properties - and trying to keep them reasonably warm, mainly because tight fisted landlords are refusing to comply with "Thermal Comfort Criteria - 2004"  a government ruling to ensure that tenants of rented accommodation can (supposedly) maintain warmth during cold weather months without excessive energy usage/wastage if properties are correctly insulated.

We all can do our bit by signing this petition or linking to it - help slash energy wastage in the home now!

Sorry didn't mean to hijack your valid question but I/we need signatures - pass it on.

  5. simply lots!

  6. Who cares its Christmas enjoy rejoice God bless

  7. who cares?  give me a fricken break.  quit listening to your homosexual liberal teachers

  8. Bah humbug!  And don't forget all the Christmas trees that get cut down.

Mind you, on a global scale less energy is used over Christmas because of lower commercial and industrial use.  And the amounts of greenhouse gases are lower because people are less active and breathe less.  (People breathing generates far more carbon gases than burning fossil fuels) But don't let that stop anyone complaining.
