  1. You don't get any extra social security for being in the military.

    You get social security for having at least 40 quarters of sufficient earnings to qualify, then it is based on your earnings.

  2. When you apply for Social Security take your DD-214 with you. As a Vet you can receive extra money.

  4. I don't think that military service at any time gets a person "extra" social security. The social security entitlement does not make any distinction about the type of job you held or give any preference to veterans.
