  1. You will probably run around 10-15 pounds faster

  2. well if you lose the fat you will definitely run faster, not a huge increase, but nevertheless you will improve. However i would recommend for you to gain muscle which will actually make you run faster. The extra muscle you gain will burn fat better. More muscle means more speed. If you gain muscle you lose fat. Fat loss + Muscle gain= great results.

  3. When I first started running I went from 140-125lbs. My 2 mile time went from the mid 13s to an 11:33. I just made sure that I didn't lose weight by starving myself. I ate a very healthy diet but it was good. I at a lot of fruits (not so many veggetables, just carrots and peas) and I ate lean beef and chicken. I made sure everything I ate I enjoyed though. I didn't go over board with my diet though, I did eat sweets every now and again. Than I just started putting in the miles. I would increase my mileage just a little every week and almost as soon as I started losing the weight my times started getting lower. The next year I began to train for the 400 and 800 and 8 years later I am still running sub 2:30 800s. So If you lose a few pounds in a healthy way yes I do think it is possible to run a little faster. Just don't lose to much weight because that would not be good.

  4. Hmmm i think that having more musle mass can improve your time.  Im almost fifteen, but i weigh 93 pounds.  Im trying to get to 100 because i thought it would give me an extra push.  In your case your time is not that fast for your age because you may have room to lose a couple of pounds.  Dont drop too much or you will not have that extras push that you will notice you had before.  If yo do end up lose some you may improve by a couple seconds, but you cant be sure.

  5. It dosn't REALLY matter how much ur weight is, just how fast ur legs move, unless ur fat, anyways, 10-15 pounds wouldn't do that much i dont think.

  6. I am not an expert and not knowing your running event i.e. 100meters, 800meters etc.  I can for sure tell you that losing 10-15 pound would definately increase your stamina and put less stress on your joints.

    I hope this helped.

  7. Losing weight will make you faster if you keep the same strength. You will see big improvements if you lose weight and gain strength. Speed is all about how much support force you have at ground contact. Try isometric dead lifts with knee almost straight and on ball of foot (stance posit. at ground contact). Work up to as much weight you can hold for 10-30 seconds. You will get stronger without getting much bigger. To lose weight just stop eating sugar: cookies, cake, candy, bread, fries.
