Last night I fed my daughter about 2 tbsp of rice cereal, 1/2 a container of 1st foods peaches, and about a 1/3 of 1st foods green beans. She cried when it was all gone so i gave her about 1/2 a container of 1st foods applesauce. She kept opening her mouth for each bite. She actually slept better last night, she only woke up once. She usually wakes up 2-3 times. I kind of suspected that she wasn't getting enough to eat during the day. Is this too much to feed her? How much does your 8 mo old eat?

  1. my daughter at 8 months, ate four 6-7 oz bottles, with three meal, (just about a whole 6oz jar of 3rd foods at each meal) and a snack, she sleeps  through the night

  2. My daughter is 8 months old and this is are usual feeding schedule( which does vary sometimes with tiredness, her boredom with the food, etc):

breakfast : 7oz bottle and 1/2 jar gerber oatmeal cereal and some pureed fruit

lunch:       7oz bottle and whole jar stage two dinner or  stage 2 oatmeal mix, sometimes extra fruit or veggie

    4pm 7 oz bottle

6pm dinner whole jar dinner or cereal and little of veggie or fruit

    8 pm 7 oz bottle

    bedtime

    I hope this helps

  3. About that.

    Good Luck/.

  4. Alyssa is 8 months... (nearly 9, couple more days). She can eat a whole stage 2 gerber food AND a handful of cheerios or gerber puffs AND eat some of our dinner and her little mouth will keep opening.

Usually we don't do gerber food though, we just do yogurt and cheese slices and toast and meat and noodles and stuff during the day... steamed veggies with dinner and if I have veggies with lunch she gets some of those... she usually gets a piece of fruit every day... I buy one of everything at the grocery store and just slice it up for her to knaw on. Well, one of all the softer fruits... I have a pear in my fridge for her but I'd have to bake it for it to be soft, and well, I will probably just end up eating it at this point... :(
