  1. She looks great, but I would switch her to something other than Kibbles and Bits. Try Diamond Naturals,as it's a very good food and it's really reasonably priced. If you can afford it,Wellness,Eagle Pack Holistic or Canidae. Basically, you want to look for a food with meat as the first ingredient and no corn, wheat or soy.

And here's a Husky/Border Collie mix that could be your dog's twin!

  2. Aw, she's beautiful. :) The brand of food you have should have a guide on the back or side of the bag, that tells how many cups of food you should give a dog depending on her weight. Or anyway, mine does. If it doesn't have a guide, ask your vet how much she should be eating.

  3. It all depends on what quality of food you are feeding her, to be honest.

The brand that I feed, calls for 4 1/4 - 5 1/2 cups per day for a dog 50-65 lbs, with high activity levels.

  4. read the package of dog food.  Each brand varies.  "2 cups a day" of one brand, may not nearly be enough of another brand.

The food will give you guidelines on how much she needs, according to her weight.  If she's a very active dog, she may need more.

  5. what kind of food are you feeding her?

    Beneful recommends...

For an average dog with normal activity, the following amounts of product fed once daily are recommended.

    3 - 12 lb. dog: 1/2 - 1 1/4 cups

    13 - 20 lb. dog: 1 1/4 - 1 3/4 cups

    21 - 35 lb. dog: 1 3/4 - 2 2/3 cups

    36 - 50 lb. dog: 2 2/3 - 3 1/3 cups

    51 - 75 lb. dog: 3 1/3 - 4 1/3 cups

    76 - 100 lb. dog: 4 1/3 - 5 1/4 cups

Over 100 lb. dog: 5 1/4 cups plus 1/3 cup for each 10 lbs. of body weight over 100 lbs.

*Using a standard 8 oz. measuring cup.

it depends on the brand of food, but that's a good starting point. to be sure, try looking it up on google based on what kind of food you are feeding her. hope that helped :]

  6. if it were me

I would give her at least two cups three times a day

tapering off to two times a day as she gets near three years old...

but you have to watch her as she eats and if the food is gone in a seconds, maybe she needs a little more food for THAT meal time...

    good luck

  7. Feeding your dog will depend on what brand of dog food you use. Some dog foods will give you a recommended feeding chart on the bag, Be aware of dog foods with the main ingredient corn and by products that you will need to feed her 2-3 cups of food per feeding 2 times a day. This will be less filling to a dog and they will require more food then a good dog food brand with high protien like evo and innova that you only need to give her 1 cup or so daily. check out this website  http://www.naturapet.com/brands/evo.asp

Also I don't use it but I here Iams is a good dog food too. good luck

  8. A puppy eats a lot of food. From birth up to six months of age, he'll need to eat two to four times as much as an adult dog to support all that growth. A good rule of thumb (paw?) is that after his first week of life, when his weight doubles from what it was at birth, a puppy should gain one to two grams per pound of anticipated adult weight each day. This means that if your German Shepherd puppy weighs 75 pounds as an adult, he should gain three to five ounces per day as a puppy.

Here's how to know how much, when and what to feed your puppy http://tinyurl.com/5nthmz

  9. my vet recommends that if the dog is less than a year it eats as much as it can it in 15 minutes three times a day. and if it is between one and two as much as it can eat in 15 minutes twice a day.

  10. yeah she looks good it probably is a collie and husky mix awsome just feed her what the bag says for her weight good luck
