How much for a 98 Mercury Sable?

Okay I need to sell my car, and am wondering the best I can get,

98 Mercury Sable, Gold with tan leather seats

107,000 miles

Controlled Air

6 Disk CD in the trunk

Transmission replaced by toyota 4 years ago (about 30,000 miles on the transmission)

Front tires brand new

New windshield wipers

The Bad

Crack in windshield (long, but a small crack that does not impair visibility)

CD player on the fritz, but will fix if its not to expensive before sale

Needs alienment

Small stain on the leather in back seat

Driver side base speaker partially blown out, not noticable unless your blaring music with heavy bass

Wear and tear on the interrior (dash board has some sun damand, i.e seperated a little from the dash, not bad just dosn't look great) and leather is worn but not torn in any places, carpets a little less new looking but no major stains

Small dent (from someone opening door into my car) on side door

Spot on bumper (small) with paint missing

I have been looking for a car online for a while and comparing it to the ones I've looked at, I think you could sale it for about 2,000 dollars. maybe even more. Like put it up for 2,500 and have a little leeway. This is, offcourse, just a guess off of the information you've given. Hope this helped!

Seeing how it has over 100K miles, minor damage throughout (cracked windshield, CD player issues, alignment off, stain on interior, blown speaker, small dent and missing paint) and it's a Mercury Sable...you might be able to get just over $2k for it...If I were you, I'd post it for $2,250 and hope you get over $2k.  If you get no bites, drop the price and keep hoping.  Honestly, the car is old, not in good condition and not an economy car...so it'll be hard selling it in this market.

The best way to decide how much to ask for your car is to look it up in the Kelly Blue Book.  Auto dealers use it and there is also info for individuals wanting to sell on their own.
