How much for a new transmission on a 2000 Voyager?

We are currently rebuilding our credit and are trying to avoid having a new car payment. This van is paid off. It has 124,000 miles on it and the transmission just started slipping. How much would it be to repair this? Please excuse my ignorance with cars! Thanks!!

buy some tranny treatment first it helps in some cases

if not anywhere from 1200 to 2500 it all depends on if its a junkyard tranny or new/rebuilt and who installs it
