How much for a respray??

hi iv just a brought a red citroen saxo s reg and its red.

was just wondering how much it would cost to get it resprayed propbably either pink or black.

I just got a quote to have my VW Lupo resprayed purple and i was quoted £1100

no one can price the job till they see the car...also how far u wanting to go with the new colour?..door checks?,under bonnet?/boot?...any dints?,filling to be done?,windows out?..see what i mean?....

i can get a car ''flashed over'' for £150...colour changes[especially black] are lots more.

I own my own bodyshop business. Its difficult to give a precise figure without seeing the vehicle but you would be looking at a minimum of £1200 for a quality respray. Obviously if there is rust or dents/scratches etc then it could be quite a bit more.

If you are thinking of a colour change then you really need to have the inside of the doors / under the bonnet / in the boot done as it will look odd if its a different colour.

For a colour change inside the vehicle it really needs the engine removing, doors and boot stripping etc and this would take the cost well over £2000

I guess this is more than the car is worth so you would probably be better off looking for another car in a colour that you like.
