  1. my boss travels every week to Berlin...

    he takes http://www.nshispeed.nl/

    it's the cheapest and faster...

    Cheers,

    DaZ

  2. book them in advance online you can get a super discount, amsterdam-center to  duisburg is 38 euro, if you buy the tickets directly at the train station, it would be more expensive.

you can find the tickets and the price here http://www.nshispeed.nl/

  3. From Amsterdam to Essem

It all depends on which date you want to go and how many changes of trains you want to accept

Assuming you want a standard 2nd class (no reductions because of age) return fare leaving 07/Aug and returning 09/Aug just to give you an indication the fare which takes the least time & least connections so as not to get lost :0) (Intercity) = €100.20 (which is $155.28) being a journey each way of 2 hours 16mins and with only one change

The price does depend on your age, actual travel dates and how many changes (connections) you are willing to accept, so you can also check this for yourself (knowing your details/requirements better than I do) on http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.e...

EDIT - for the people quoting the link http://www.nshispeed.nl/ - did you actually try to use this?  The trip which the users requests is not possible - so I fail to see how you can quote prices on this basis.

  4. What would you think/answer on my question: How much for a train ride from Ottawa to the United States? Two Way

You would think, the asker is crazy. How shall I know where he wants to go, Florida?, California?, just Maine, Minnesota, Washington? or Lousina, Missouri?

Anyhow, for a train ride to Emmerich and back approximately 262 Netherlands Guilders.

  5. Of course YOU would want to go BACK to Amsterdam...

But that would be quite a lot, Amsterdam is on the east coast, germany is the western border

  6. Germany is a big country.  It's about 100 Euros round trip to Frankfurt.

Add:  Re the above answer; the Netherlands hasn't used the guilder in quite some time.
