How much for an Yamaha r6s?

Question

I was trying to buy a yamaha r6s motorcycle. This would be my first bike and I don't really know to much about each model. I just heard this would be a good one to start on. I was wondering what a good out the door price should be. This including all the taxes, title ect. They were telling me 10,200 but that seemed really high for a 600. What is a good price?

A new sport bike is never a good first bike.  The 600cc sport bikes are highly tuned and very advanced, to get their factory teams respect on the 600cc racing circuit.

A used bike will be a far better first bike; something 500cc or smaller.  Seriously; buy something you're okay with laying down once or twice.

The Buell Blast is lauded as an excellent (but ugly) first bike.  The Honda VTR250 is a great bike as well -- light, quick, easy to handle, and much cheaper than a new R6S.

10,200 sseems kinda high for a 600.  Go five hundred under Msrp and work from there and don' t get any service or tire packages they are not worth it.  MAKE SURE YOU GET  GAP  INSURANCE!  If you don't know about it ask about it.  I can't say for sure what you should pay since I don't know where you are buying it but the most basic rule of any vehicle purchase is NEVER PAY STICKER!   Good luck.
