How much for food in Ireland and Scotland?

My friend and I are going to Ireland and planning on getting a self catering cottage and wanted to know about how much it would cost 15 days.

  1. Depends on where you go. In the small towns, there aren't many large supermarkets.


  2. Prices are about the same as the US in larger cities - a bit higher in Dublin. It's the exchange rate that is the killer. The dollar is pretty weak these days. As I don't know what you like to eat, can't fix a price, but budget as you would in the US and then throw in a bit more just in case.

    Stock up at the super markets not the litle shops and your dollar will fare better.
