How much for gas central heating?

I currently have a solid fuel central heating system. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much it costs to run gas central heating on a small 3 bed house, so that i can compare the price?

If your on low income you'll soon wish you had no gas as last night it said on the news that it's expected to go up by the end of the year by 40%

Get quotes from local companies and maybe energy suppliers. It's impossible to give accurate prices here without being able to survey the job and see exactly what parts and work will be required.

Do you have a natural gas supply to your house as this is the first place to start...

make sure you do your homework as gas prices are expensive now and set to rise another 40%. For a good combi boiler 7 rads and all pipes valves and installation don't pay more than £2,000

Lots of variables!Old house?Well insulated?Volume of each room and how hot you want them.How many people,baths showers etc.The efficiency of the boiler and who supplies your gas,all of these would need to be calculated by a heating engineer.New houses can be very fuel efficient,but with older properties the insulation is a key factor with running costs
