  1. Be VERY nice to the man at the local garage...bake him a cake and hope to god he takes the thing off your hands..he is your only hope!!

  2. it depends on what condition the car is in. eh maybe in good condition 2 grand?

  3. $3,000

  4. Since small cars are now becoming attractive due to the price of fuel, you should try to get a good price - maybe 2000 pounds but no lower than 1500.

  5. best way to find out is kregs list

  6. Well with out the engine, the car is worth a lot less, and with the price of gas going up I don't think you suzuki is a hybird, it also depends on the condition of the car, it was a mint conditioin car (without the engine) it would go are $2000-5000 US dollars.

  7. It would be worth about £1600 - £1700 in good condition with average miles, I'd still expect around £1000 for it with a siezed engine

  8. if you can get 300 for it take it. Its scrap metal right now thats about 200 tops at the scrap yard Who ever said 2 grand is a moron and didnt read the engine was toast in it

  9. First off, there's no demand for a car that doesn't go. 2nd, it's a Suzuki, finding a replacement won't be easy; he knows that. 3rd. it's a 2001and the engine didn't even last that long. Chances of getting anything at all are slim. Forget looking up the price, that's fo cars that go.

  10. w/ the engine being seized >< i say no more then 2 grand :(

  11. use kelly blue book. It will give you a decent estimate of its value to work with.  http://www.kbb.com/

  12. There are standard Blue Book & Brown Book prices.

But with a seized engine, you're selling it as scrap.

As a quick check, look at local papers for the closest,

& then subtract $2000 for the engine replacement.

  13. well the blue book is for cars in running shape.. sorry to say but with out the motor its not worth much since a motor can cost a few thousand to buy and about that to put in so most  likey a junk price is what he wil want to pay you might get more but not likey much dont matter what it looks like if it done have a good motor its junk 150 bucks maybe so best you start talking to him and see what hes willing to pay

  14. If it doesn't cost you anything for him to take it, you made money

  15. u can give an ad in local newspaper for wider response so that people can come and see and than only can tell u the price or u can go to a reputed car garage and make valuation of your car

  16. k

  17. You can check kelly bluebook values.

It will really depend upon the condition of the vehicle.

  18. if you do get ripped off, work online.

    just go to http://kbb.com

  19. Check the cost of repairing the engine and sell him for double the price.

  20. If you tow it to your local  VAUXHALL dealership  they will give you a guarenteed  ÃƒÂ‚£1000 pounds for it

Sadly you will need to spend over ten grand on a new motor car

    Swings and roundabouts

SCRAP YARD FODDER  ......   All its good for

    Too expensive to repair ....

  21. "the engine is seized so it cant go anywhere! but other than that it ok i think."

bahaha...the engine is the most important and the most expensive bit. A seized engine is pretty major...if I was you I'd replace the engine with one of those reconditioned ones which you find at the back of exchange and mart and sell it afterwards..because as it is now, it's sold as SCRAP and that's what people are going to pay you!

  22. It would be worth about £1600 - £1700 in good condition with average miles, I'd still expect around £1000 for it with a siezed engine;

    http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/used-price...

  23. a car isnt ok if the engine dont work

  24. so your vehicle is not a vehicle now any way you are very confident about your vehicle i think.... all the best

  25. The best website is www.parkers.co.uk.

I had a look on there and if it's in good condition you are looking at about £1600 to £1800.

I'm not sure how much it costs to fix a seized engine. So, what I would do is phone a couple of garages for a quote and then take that price off plus a little bit extra.

Hope you get a good price.

  26. If you're in the US, as it is now 200.00-500.00 at most-- depending on condition of the rest of the car...

a salvage yard engine would be about  the same price plus install... which is what your mechanic friend will do.. and resell for 1500.00-2000.00

  27. no amount is tooo much!  yahoo Internet is the best place to put it on the market....a 2001 is going to be depreciated,  it not new or any thing...

  28. you can go to   www.kbb.com   It will let  you type in your vehicle and get the prices for it

  29. He probably knows how to unseize it very easy. Ask him how much he would charge to unseize it. The engine can sometimes be turn backwards and unseize it with oil in the cyliders. He wants to rip you off. Fix it and make an easy profit.

  30. if the engine is seized, the cars dead.....unless you buy  a new engine which is the most expensive part of the car..... but id say charge about 3-500 bucks for it.

  31. My husband is a mechanic and he thinks £500 at the very most.
