My son was born a month early and was 5lbs 9oz. He is now 2 months old. He has been eating 5 to 6oz, every 4 to 5 hours. He has his doctors appt. on wed. not sure how much he weighs but he looks like he has gained alot more. Just wondering if he is eating to much? Also should he be going 5 hours during the day? Oh for his 1 month appt. he weighed almost 7lbs.

  1. it's not possible for a baby to eat too much.  it's great that he's doing so well and growing so much.

congratulations!  and relax - your baby knows what he needs.  just enjoy this time with him.

    good luck!

  2. No thats not too much, he will now how much he wants and how often. My baby is gonna be 4 months and i used to freak out too because she would eat 4 oz as a newborn(i mean lk 1 week old), but the doctor told me that. he said they know what they can handle. and the time wise, its the same thing, my baby wouldnt wake up to eat and when i would try to feed her she would just to sleep, it worried me that she ate like every 5 hours to but shes fine. now she eats about every 3 hrs, and shell eat from 4-6 ox everytime. babies are different they want different things just lk us. but you should still talk to your doctor, he will know best.
