I got into the habit of just pouring on my foundation. Then i thought about it, do i really need that much? It melts off my skin too, and is thick. I use derma blend because i have few blemishes. I just realized i put on way to much, what is a good amount to start with?

  1. well foundation is not concealer. you need to find a concealer and cover your little spots. then get under GOOD lighting, preferably a bathroom with white walls, and put on your foundation with a brush. if you need to spend like 5 min blending it make sure you do it becuase it will make a big difference. then you need to put on a powder which helps set the foundation and keep it from cracking. after that if you want to put on bronzer or blush you can.

  2. derma blend is for tough spots you should not use that as your everyday that is way too much!! Go to the dermatologist and figure out if your hormones are off maybe. Also make sure you are using a toner and serum to close up your pores to make sure you have less blemishes!! :)

  3. well, start with a good skin care routine. Use the cleanser that's right for your skin, with the blemishes & all. Mary kay formula 3 is your line & it's foundation is oil free. the moisturizer actually absorbs oil too.

Your foundation is partly some of your culprit. Check & see if it contains mineral oil. There's a list of no no's not to put on your skin.

also just as well, is the natural ingredients that are no good for you in the bare minerals & those on tv. bismuth is a great thing for pepto bismol, if your tummy needs it,but eventually it will irritate your compexion even more.

Get an absolutely pure one, like beeroyalproducts.com, or smokymountainminerals.com. Southernmagnoliaminerals, is rice based & it will help your complexion also.

When your skin is in good shape - it won't need much or as much make up - unless you just want to contour or highlight. good luck.

  4. Sorry - but none...foundation actually makes spots appear - so, ironically, the more you put on to hide the spots, the more appear. Foundation doesn't look nice - I don't find foundation-covered girls s**y!

    :D Good luck :)

  5. You should dot it on your face and then smooth it over.  Like put two dots on each side of your face, one on your chin, one on your nose, and then one on your forehead and then smooth it in and go from there.

  6. just a light layer, and build if you feel more coverage,is needed.go for a nuatural look ,not a made up look.
