  1. You always could get arrested for protesting.

  2. so ,do not be an a*s*s when you protest.what is up with you,why are protesting, mom cut off the allowance.......

  3. We are legally free to have s*x with who ever we want as often as we want (as long as they are not married).  That is about it.

  4. I feel just as free as I ever did, no problems whatsoever.

  5. That's only true if you are commiting a crime while you are doing it (or if you do it at the Democrat Convention or in front of an abortion clinic).

  6. You can always protest peacefully,This is and always will be a free country,as long as we keep the liberals out of office

  7. Not much if you're in the UK. It gets worse every year. Time to move I think.

  8. Whats this thing you call Freedom ? I live is the USA. So I wouldn't know.

  9. I agree that there seems to be less and less freedom in Britain, not only legally but also with all these stupid new Health and Safety rules that they make up on a daily basis - kids no longer able to have school sports days for example.  Its getting ridiculous.  Somebody needs to stand back and take a good look at the committees making these silly decisions, and do something about it to get some sanity back into the country.

  10. Until freedom is taken away people never realise how much they have.

In the West we do not have officials monitoring the Internet, for example, for the slightest hint of political dissidence as they do in China. So you are free to ask a question like this without the Public Security Bureau paying you an early morning visit.

As for being arrested for protesting we've had that particular "right" since time immemorial, as well as the "right" to be arrested for going on strike and publishing radically different opinions deemed to incite public disorder.

Instead of asking how much freedom we have left it might be more to the point to ask how much freedom have we ever had.

You say the US government's blatant disregard for the Constitution is criminal, and you are right. It is. How can you then be so naive to believe that things are wonderful?? Look at inflation, national debt & your continued loss of liberty through terror induced legislation that robs you of your rights. Freedom is a principle no longer in the hands of the masses, they just have not realised it yet. I'd much prefer to live in Iceland or even Norway than America, especially now.

Here in Ireland we effectively put the brakes on the purposed Lisbon Treaty, which would have enforced conformity or "harmonisation" through legislation & proposed trade laws upon the peoples of Europe. We are a small nation that knows how to use it's voice. We did & in this instance democracy & justice ruled.

  12. not much.  governments are becoming more and more totalitarianistic.

that's why i'm going into politics.

  13. We are freer today than ever in history.

We can almost anywhere.  Say anything.  With the internet we can post our feelings for the world to see.

We are free to be rich or poor,  out choice.

I am as free as the air.

    What's your problem

  14. QUITE COMPLAING BE GLAD YOU DON'T HAVE TO ASK TO TAKE A SHITT OR ASK TO EAT ALL OTHER COUNTRIES HAVE NO FREEDOM WHAT SO EVER BE GLAD FOR WHAT YOU HAVE. THIS COUNTRY WAS BUILT BUY PEOPLE. PEOPLE HAVE FLAWS BUT YET YOU STILL EXPECT PREFECTION

  15. We live in the most free, most open, most democratic society that has ever existed on the face of the earth (Meaning America). It's useful to remember that until very recently, things like free speech, freedom to protest, the right of dissent against the government, etc, were not considered rights at all. Indeed, people throughout history have been oppressed for demonstrating their ideas and beliefs, that's how the concept of martyrdom was invented.

I'm not a right-winger, and I think that the recent abuses of the constitution by the US government are blatant, shameful, and criminal. However, let's all try to remember that even at it's worst, the system of government we live under is still wonderfully, wonderfully free.

  16. You're able to ask this question, aren't you?  The right to protest has always been tempered by laws.
