How much fuel is lost by "topping off" the tank?

Question

I've searched but came up empty. I'm trying to put a number on how much fuel is lost by topping off. Preferably per vehicle. Anyone have some inside info and some good links to follow up on?

lost? I dont know that any is lost. I dont care what anyone says.. when i top off i get WAY more out of my tank of gas.

none unless you run it over,you don't loose no gas by topping one off,the only way you loose any is if you run it over then you loose some,i doubt that you,ll find any actual numbers on doing this,good luck.

There is absolutely no fuel lost by topping off your tank unless you spill it.  Don't let anyone tell you differently.

None.  If you top off then you are adding fuel to the tank.  How could you lose fuel by topping off?  That makes no sense at all.  This is why you have come up empty on your search.
