How much gas do i need for a 663 mile trip?

My V6 sedan would use 30 - 40 gallons.  My 1/2 ton V8 truck would require 55+ gallons.  This is based on my experience driving from San Diego to Las Vegas numerous times with a family of four. Bad weather or stop and go traffic add a few gallons, at least 10 to be safe.

Well , how long is a piece of string? You did not give us any idea as to what you will be driving. Is it one of those Smart cars that gets around 60 mpg or are you driving a motor home that only gets 4 mpg. What kind of driving do you plan on doing , and how fast do you drive? Darn near impossible to detemine with the info you gave us.
