  1. None if you use public transportation.

  2. You will need about eighty liters.

  3. Also, you don't mension your type of car, but i'm assuming you will spend roughly from 60$ to 100$ on gas (one-way)

No matter what you do, don't drive with a full tank, always fill it up to the quarter, because the further you go towards Toronto, the cheaper the gas will be. Might as well take 3 gas stops and save up to 15$ than drive it all from the price of Montreal.

Also, MTRL to TOR takes roughly 6.5 hour drive. Your car might take a full tank to drive to Toronto.

As long as you remember to refill gas more often, you could end up saving that 15$.

NOTE: On the way back, fill up full in Toronto and then drive. Before the Ontario Quebec boarder, fill up again because gas will be cheaper than in MTRL.

  4. did it two weeks ago and gas was more expensive in toronto ($1.22) than places along the road.  It took about 3/4 of a tank in my partner's 03 Hyundai Elantra which has about a 45 litre tank.  Don't gas up before you leave Montreal OR only put in enough to get you to Cornwall ON you'll save on gas their and if you need to refuel I like the Flying J truck stop near Napanee.  Also if you are going with kids stop at the Big Apple good place to let them run around and burn off some steam.

  5. That would depend upon the distance traveled, the altitude, the vehicle, the weight, the condition of the engine, etc.

We need to know the specific amount of fuel used per mile or kilometer.  We need to know the specific distance traveled rather than a generalization.  Then do the math:

money = dollars per gallon * gallons per unit distance * total distance traveled

  6. I can't help you unless you tell me how many gallons or liters of gas you would need to travel all that way - sorry!

I'm not a driver, you see - or a vehicle owner for that matter!

$1.23 does sound awfully cheap though, no?

Well anyways, good luck to you and enjoy your long trip!
