How much money will i need to go to Brookhaven Mississippi and back?

All together thats 1965.3 miles

My cars burns 22 miles a gallon

Gas is about 4.07 [apx]

I tried figuring it out myself and got $727.16 but i need to know for sure.

Okay so just round it to 2000 miles.

Your car burns 22 miles a gallon. If you get exactly that, then you will need:  2000miles/22mpg = ~91 gallons of gas.

91 gallons of gas x $4.07 = $370.37

I dunno how you got $727.16 lol. So just say you need a little under $400 in gas, cause im sure you'll hit a little traffic, maybe make a stop, etc so you won't always be getting 22mpg.

So that ABOUT 2K miles.

So you figure 2000 / 20 mile gallon (all approx) is about 100 gallon. At $4 per gallon, that about $400.

If your trip was 2K miles (one way), then the round trip would be double that - all approx.

There's no need to deal with all those exact precision and decimal points, given it is all just guess work at this point anyway.

$363.58 would be the Actual cost.  First you take the total number of miles (1965.3) and divide it by how many mile you get to 1 gallon of gas.  Next take the number and multiply it by the cost of 1 gallon of gas and you get $363.58.

Im taking a trip too, in Canada, about the same distance, so thanks for figuring it out for me......although I'll need to convert it to liters.

take total distance traveled (X) and divide it by total mpg (y) then multiply by price pe gallon (z) and you get the answer.  1965.3/22x4.07=363.58

x liter = $ y = 1965.3 mile
