How much gas will it take too...?

Im moving to florida from massachusettes for a total of 1286 miles one way. I am renting a 16 ft truck from budget rentals with a 35 gallon tank. With the truck up to 3 quarters full of furniture and boxes if not totally full, how much gas will it take to get to orlando FL. I don't know the mpg of the vehicle. Any help would be appeciated

You can't really calculate how much gas because you don't know the mpg of the truck.  Considering it's size and the weight, I'd say anywhere between 10 and 13 mpg.  You'll probably need to fill up about three times, atleast, which will cost you about $420 at $4/gallon.

1,286 miles/5 mpg (let's take worst scenario...you're on a budget) means you'll burn 257 gallons of gas.

257 gallons of gas at $4.00 means you'll spend $1,028 in gas alone.

Make sure your tires are inflated properly.
