The drive itself is around 3300 km, so it all depends on the car the mileage you can get on a full tank. The few times that I have done the drive, I have filled up 4-6 times. It also depends if you are driving with a trailer or not. Everything depends on your car. On average, I have spent anywhere from $400 (in a car without a trailer) to $700 (in a pick-up towing a trailer. Keep in mind that gas gets cheeper the further west you go. Hope this helps. Good Luck
