  2. this probably depends on a few factors

    probably a lot if you are talking about hybrids yet for some animals speciation can occur even with just a handfull of genes so i'd say there is a wide range

    you have to consider what it is that makes them not able to produce fertile offspring, is it chromosomes, is it a size difference, preferance, location, lock and key (parts not fitting together), pheromones,  lots of different factors


  3. I've been looking for that answer on Google for several minutes and can't come up with anything that would serve as the answer you are looking for.

    On Google, I did a search on "genetic distance +infertile offspring."  You could give it a try.  Much of the information I didn't understand.  Maybe you will.
