How much government do you want?

I want a Court system to protect property rights, a police system to protect against criminals, and an army to protect against foreign aggressors.  Other than that -- nothing.

I would like to see power shifted back to local government. Let the people in each area decide what they call good and right, then people could migrate to like-minded people and be happy.

Very limited Federal Government. We need the military, the postal service, FBI, and other such important things, but we don't need the Nanny State looking over our shoulder for every little thing. Besides, the way it works now, if you don't do what the overly intrusive federal government wants, they blackmail you in the form of highway funds. They shouldn't have power to use an important thing like that as a weapon.
