How much gravel?

Question

how much gravel do i need for a tall, 2 gallon, hexagon tank with an under gravel filter?

i plan to keep 1 or 2 small fishes in there...

ask the fish shop they'll tell you! Remember if you are having live plants OR fake plants to slope the gravel up at the back, as it creates nice composition and makes the fish stay closer to the front of the tank

3 pounds is right.

Answer 6

1 1/2 - 2 1/2 inches is about right.  Make the gravel a little bit deeper in the back than it is in the front.  Debris will roll forward and make it much easier to clean up.
