  1. Alfalfa hay or pellets is a good feed but a horse is a grazer and it is very good for their stomach to eat small meals all day long.  The grazing time is dependent on the quality of the grass in the pasture.  Green grass can be more nutritious than a brown grass.  You need to research the type of grass in your pasture to know what to do.  My first inclination is to say, give this horse pasture all day long if the grass is brown like it is in most places this time of the year.  The horse will enjoy the time out and will eat and sleep at will.  


  2. A horse should always have free choice of grazing. No matter what age, a horse should be able to eat as much or as little grass as he so chooses.

  3. let it graze when its full it will stop make shaw its teeth are ok or it cant graze prperly
