  1. What kind of studies are you referring to?  Do you mean 'investigations'?

  2. 1. A lot

    2. Taxes, it all comes from taxes!

  3. I'm not sure if there ever was a real investigation.  Actually, I think they put more money into mock investigating the JFK assassination than they did this one,

this one was pretty open and shut, ha? yup,  got the guy and the story and the enemy all sealed up in a neat little package only minutes after the event.

yup, just a bit TOO perfect.

Just like the terrerrrrrist passport floating unharmed like a feather down a couple of blocks away from the giant piles of rubble and smoking ash.

  4. we spent more tax money investigating Bill Clinton than we did investigating 9-11.

  5. There were various appropriations from Congress to different Departments such as Defense, CIA, FBI, Justice, Transportation, Treasury, the White House, etc.

Many of the departments, and some divisions within some of the departments,  were later consolidated into the Department of Homeland Security which now has its own funding stream from Congress.

This is an advantage because it allows the various intelligence agencies to coordinate in a way that they were unable to do before 9/11.

Example: the CIA might have information about something that happened overseas that never reached the FBI about something that it was connected to in the US.Immigration officials didn't know that it involved people who might be entering the US thought airports. Port authorities didn't know to watch for certain cargo shipments. This is increasingly coordinated for enhanced national security. Treasury can be notified to watch for suspicious bank transactions.

All of our security apparatus can now interface effectively with the security forces of our allies and international security and law enforcement.

The US had lagged way behind in this field.

This coordination among intelligence agencies, nationally and internationally, has been a major accomplishment in national security during the Bush Administration.

It's one of the reasons why we have not had an attack on US soil and why we and our allies have been able to stop several major attacks before they happened.

    Money well spent.
