Actually, I have reduced my expenditures by really trying to.  I buy everything I can at our local dollar store.  They also have groceries and dairy and are significantly cheaper than our market.  Our market also puts a lot of meat on 1/2 price if it is going out of sale date that day.  I take what I can use home and put it in freezer bags and seal it.  I have never gotten a spoiled piece.

as a pensioner I am finding it very difficult to shop but my daughters look out for reduced stuff for me so just making it by
