How much have you paid for a wedding cake?

How much was it, how many tier, and what's your location? Send pictures if you can!

My wedding is 8/16/08... I live in central wisconsin and we are paying almost $800 for our wedding cake (Which is a lot around here, but there is only a handful of bakers who specialize in Fondant cakes here). It is a 3-tiered, champagne colored wedding cake with big gold scrolls. Very pretty!

Well, I can't send pictures yet because it's not made yet, lol.

It's my twin's wedding cake, end of this month. 5 tiers. top tier will be chocolate cake, whit chocolate/macadamia nut filling and Irish cream ganache. The bottom 4 tiers are cupcakes (120)- chocolate, lemon, and vanilla cupcakes, with irish cream buttercream, some cream coloured, and then 2 shades of purple to match the bride and groom and decor, cream coloured fondant gerbera on each cupcake, and chocolate cake tier decorated with fondant flowers.

And a special personalized fondant plaque with edible gold lettering on it.

As to price, I will not know until I buy all the ingredients (I am her cake decorator). But it will be at cost of course so yeah, super deal lol).

4 teir, $600, butter cream ( I do not like fondant), very basic ivory frosting with some gold scrolls.

Just a  classic cake with french vanilla with raspberry filling.

No pics yet, my wedding is in June, but I have reserved my cake with half down.

I am in central Florida. I think my cake is low priced... I got one quote for $900.

My cake will feed 109 guests. I think I am going to have to get a sheet cake too, I am inviting 140 people

girl just go to publix.. they are cheaper and can customize it to your liking. and publix cakes are wonderful

I'm getting married in 11 weeks and soory I don't have any pics but we are having a 3 tier choc whiskey hazelnut cake and having a separate smaller cake for the kids without the nuts (my son has a nut allergy). All up it would normally cost about $650 (which I'd never pay lol) but my fiances best mate is a chef and he is making the lot as his wedding gift to us. It was his idea. We are marrying on the river where I live and having our reception at a hotel about 10 mins away from there.

We had a 3-tier white cake with white icing. I got columns from Michael's (2 sets for $8). The three tiers plus a chocolate cake and a carrot cake came to $48 (we got them from Albertson's. The cake topper was the most expensive part at $40! We used flower petals to decorate the cake.

Everyone loved it.

My wedding is on August 16...Northern New York... we paid $215 for a 3 layer cake and sheet cake that will feed 140-150 people...white cake/white icing...simple, but delicious!
