  1. the price of gas goes higher for ANY excuse because we have a lot of GREEDY  people out there who love to gouge the ordinary guy as much as they can with no thought to the safety of people who are just trying to get away from danger. I wish these greedy people would STOP and think. Has no one got any sympathy for others?

  2. I read that barrel prices have dropped $4.00. I think it was MSNBC news, not sure but I'll attempt to find it again.

    see below

  3. 75% of the Gulf of Mexico oil production was shut in several days ago because of the storm. You should see a slight rise in prices till production is back on line. This is called the Law of Supply and Demand.

Presently I am in Lafayette Louisiana and the eyewall is twenty miles south of us moving this way. This means the worst is over. My electricity is still on and it was not as bad as many feared.

To counteract the temporary rise in prices maybe you should increase production in your state?

  4. I'm sure they will use it as an excuse to rise gas prices higher.

  5. Well, it really didn't directly hit N.O. this time, but the gas prices in Louisiana didn't rise. They are still the same, in most cases even lower, this time.
