  1. This will depend on your state's requirements.  Some states make you turn in portfolios and prove the number of hours you HS per year, some states go by "school" days, and others couldn't care one way or the other.

    The typical middle school student probably spends 4-5 hours on coursework, but 24/7 learning in an "at home" environment.

    The time will also depend on each student.  One student may finish math in 15 minutes, and it may take another student 90 minutes for the same lesson.


  2. Maybe an hour or two one on one instruction, and then it is up to the student.

    Home school children work at their own pace, and it can depend on what kind of day they have as well.

    On the days where there are a lot of interruptions, or outside activities it will take more time, so it is different for each student.

  3. in the state of texas there is not a set amount of hours I have to teach each day just the amount of days required {180} My 6th/7th grader has about 4 hours a day  days a week
