How much horse power does a nascar have?

how much horse power does a nascar have ?

and how many cars have 1000 hp,other than nascar,,is there any cars that have 1000 hp ?

In NASCAR Cup series the engines put out about 800-830 HP.

Not many series use engines producing over 1000 HP.

Some that do are World of Outlaws, put out over 1000 from 440 CI engine on methanol.

NHRA Pro Stock 12-1400 HP and TF, FC almost 8000 HP on Nitromethane.

I keep hearing numbers near 850. It is definitely over 800. This means Cup cars have more horsepower than an F1 or an Indy car. Funny how racing has evolved. NHRA and IHRA drag racing are the only forms of motorsports I know of with engines having over 1,000 hp. Top Fuel dragsters and Funny Cars have around 8,000 hp. Some land speed racers (Bonneville, Black Rock) are also over 1,000 hp.

It depends on wear there racing at but normally around 800 HP

Aboout 850 unrestricted, about 450 restricted, and I don't think a Nascar ever hit 1,000.
