  1. Through my competitive days I did on average 3-5 everyday except Sunday. Along with that I did about 3 hours of off ice training!

  2. I currently do far more off-ice training than on ice. Waste of my money to go to the rink if my muscles are in pain from going to the gym and I end up not doing much.

Therefore I only skate about twice a week and sometimes leave more time off. I actually progress a better this way. When my body is stronger Ill be able to skate more often without skating for 40 minutes poorly. When I skate after having a rest I also skate far longer; over 2 hours and 3 on rare occasion. I do about 4 hours off-ice  training a week (but really m*******t level exercise).

  3. depends on how good you want to be...the number of hours will increase for any sport...by the professional level, count on being at the rink for many hours every day

  4. i practice 8 hours a week and also do dance

  5. When I skated competitively (I currently am not skating competitively due to an injury), I would skate about 10 hours on the ice, and then do an additional 2-4 hours off of the ice per week.

  6. hmmmmm i got abput 2 -  4 times a week. but i always train at least about 10 hrs a week

  7. About 4-5 hours once a week, which annoys me tremendously because I'm stuck spending twice that time thrice a week on a sport I don't really even actively like anymore.

If it's just for the love of it, any amount of time's great. But if you're serious, aiming to compete (and it doesn't literally burn a hole in your pocket), almost everyday might be good...

  8. I train everyday, before and after school. Plus personal training and dance.

  9. i practice for 10 hours a week!

  10. I use to do four hours, 5-6 days a week, plus off ice training and dance.

  11. it depends on what time of year it is, its hard to get freestyle ice with all the hockey going on. in the summer about four hours each day five- six times a week and off ice training.

  12. I do at least an hour 5 days a week  but more than that on Saturdays, it all depends on what you're going for, what you want to accomplish.

  13. When I was competing at the Junior level I would skate 2-4 hours a day, 6 days a week and would train off-ice 3-5 hours per week.
