I'm opening a company that gives people free information but they must listen to an advertisment first, how much can I charge for the advertisment?

  1. I wouldn't do less then 30 seconds and I would do it after they have selected their first choice and before it plays. If you do it up front two things happen. One they just hang up. Two you tie your phones up with someone who doesn't need to use your service.

    Say something like:

'Your req info is about to be played. Please listen to one of our sponsors messages while we prepare your message..."

You could rotate in different ads for each requested piece of info. This would allow you unlimited amount of ads.

Pricing would have to be determined by the amount of calls you get. Everything in advertising is based on cost per thousand. You certainly know what your monthly fees are(cost of phone lines, etc), these most certainly have to be paid for b4 you actually start making money.

I'd do a sample run using your company as the advertiser on one or two lines to see the amount of calls you get. Once you have that number you can extrapolate what the amount of calls per lines is and them charge accordingly.
