How much if a fair price to charge for house cleaning service?

I have a client who lives 45 minutes away, so with today's gas prices, I want to make sure that it would be worth my time to travel. But I also want to be fair to the client. So what is a fair amount to charge? Should I charge hourly? or per house? ala carte? and how many hours should I work?

15-20 dollars hr how big is the house? 3 to 4 hrs you also have to factor your gas into that

There is no answer to this, to be fair you would have to know what your client's income is and charge accordingly. As you use the term Gas I presume you live in America, business is business, you charge what the Market will bear.
