So i was driving on a busy street in los angeles, and there was this guy crossing across the street and this street is like big, traffic and buses going each way, anyways i was driving and i saw he was walking towards me when i was driving but there was cars in front of me to and nobody stopped for him and i was going like 35mph and i didnt stop just like everyone else becuase i wanted to avoid an accident, and i got pulled over and got a ticket. How much is this going to be? I dont think its fair when the cross walk is half a block away, but i still no pedestrians have the right away but the cop didnt give the pedestrian a ticket for J-walking. Again im in los angeles, cali, and he was not on a cross walk, he was an idiot.

  1. It can be from $100 to $500.

  2. My cousin got the same ticket.

The fee was $454, but for sure it won't be more than $600. Telling from what I read on your accident you should fight the ticket.

  3. In California, unless there are "no crossing" signs posted for pedestrians, ALL intersections are crosswalks, whether marked or not.

In other words, you EARNED that ticket.  It does not matter how many others vehicles did not get stopped.   YOU are the one who got caught and you will have to pay the fine.  If there was only one police officer observing, there is no way he could have stopped EVERY car going through, just as there are not enough officers to stop every speeding car.

  4. First of all, had he crossed the middle-street divider?

I've fought two moving violations in L.A. with the help of the ticket assassin and he helped me beat them with trial by written declaration- well worth the $25 investment.

Check out his website before you pay the ticket.
