Question:

How much influence does money carry on your career decisions?

I was watching CNN and some CEO was talking about ' Do what you really believe in, not something that you think will just make you money.' Well, that's easy for him to say, but not eveyone has time to wait for the perfect business idea, some people have legit reasons for going after the money, such as taking care of a family. Do you think you should do what you want to do even if it means your family may be a little poorer, because you're chasing after some dream of yours, or should you try to do what you think is best for your family, like going after the big bucks in order to provide for them?

Thanks for your 2 cents.

  1. It's never been a priority.  I do check to see if i can afford my decisions, but they are never made just because there's a few more bucks to be made.

At this point my fantasies are all big projects.  Most of them have the side effect that they could make me huge amounts of money.  Generally making money hasn't been a priority.  But i might want to pursue one of these projects, and i'll need some start up cash. I may have to actually save up for it.
