In general, it is cheaper to exchange money in the country of your destination.  Often the best exchange rates are from ATMs!

They will accept either but love American money. Bring plenty of 1 dollar bills. The dollar is only 10.9 ,better than Europe!!!

We just got back from cancun...they take us dollars for nearly everything.  Most of the shops have computers that show you in pesos and in us dollars.  no need to worry.

It's about 11 pesos but I wouldn't exchange money there because in the exchange places, 1 dollar would give you 9-10 pesos. trust me, i was at Cancun 1 month ago. hope this helps.
