How much is 1 UK pound compared to $1 US?

i need to know what 1 european pound in US dollars? do i double it, triple it? if i had $1 USD, how much European pounds do i have, etc...

I think a British pound is about twice the value of the US dollar. Maybe slightly less than that, but not much.

And it's a British pound, not a European pound. Most of the EU uses Euros, but the EU is not the same as Europe... The EU is the European Union- a collection of countries within Europe who have agreed to certain conditions. The UK is a member, but we don't abide by a lot of the EU's rules and regulations. We seem to pick and choose as and when it suits us.

The UK does not use the Euro, although the Euro is getting stronger in comparison to the pound, so perhaps when the two are worth the same we'll swap over. Who knows. At the moment, £1.21 is equal to 1€
