  1. yes. and i suggest adding a few more pieces.32 grams would be corect too.

  2. Not along yeah about 1/4 a cup

  3. Well, it depends upon the shape of the pasta, doesnt' it?  A lot more orzo will fit in a measuring cup than spirals.  But I'm not sure ifyou mean 2 oz. cooked or raw.  Most pasta comes in a one-pound portion.  2 oz. would be 1/8th of that.  Use the nutrition facts (portion size, portions per container) to figure out how much is 2 oz.

  4. At any case 2 ounces are around 60 grams (mass/weight measurements).

One cup is around 8 ounces (volume measurements).

  5. 32 grams

  6. Lots of British or European recipes do their measurements by weight. Which is a pain if you don't have a scale. I finally broke down and bought a scale. They're not expensive.

Failing that, check out the package. If it's an 8-ounce package, guesstimate 1/4 of the package.

In any case, don't stress over it. You're not adding very much and this isn't rocket science. When in doubt, err on the high side, then add the pasta to sauce a little at a time until you think the balance is just right. Put the rest in the refrigerator for a quick snack with some butter and good Parmagiano Reggiano.
