First, convert to troy ounces (31.1 grams per troy ounce)

300 grams / 31.1 = 9.64 Troy ounces

Second, find the current spot gold price at

At this moment, it is $824.10

Third, the spot gold price is for pure 24K gold. To find the price per troy ounce of 22K, multiply by 22/24 or .917

$824.10 x .917 = $755.42

Now, $755.42 x 9.64 troy ounces gives $7282.29

You will get about 90% of that at a coin shop. Jewelry stores pay somewhat less, and Pawn shops pay half or less.

How do you know it's 300 grams and 22K?

Anyway, 22K gold comes out to  $24.38/gram, so 300 grams are $7,313.65.

Spot price is a funny number.  If you are buying, people will charge more than spot, but never less.  If you are selling, people will offer you less than spot, but never more.
