It's not that Obama cares if you have more than two houses; however, he does have a problem (and rightfully so) when someone can't remember the number of houses he owns.  Either that means he may be senile, or he is an elite.

Not much.  Remember, net worth is assets - liabilities, so if you have a mortgage, it is subtracted from the value of your home.  Also, Biden put three kids thru college and makes $165,200 a year from his salary as a Senator.  Biden's net worth according to the documents filed with the Federal Election's Commission is under $200,000, but it is unclear whether that includes his home.  In any event, Biden simply is not a wealthy man.
