How much is VISA application to China from Thailand?

I am a U.S. citizen and have a passport. Is it worth it to get my VISA here in the states or do it there in Thailand

contact the chinese embassy in the US if your still there , its a lot easier orginizing visas before you leave, that way you dont get stuffed around when your trying to enjoy your trip.

Apply for a visa either in the Chinese Embassy in the US or in Thailand and the costs is just minimal.
