How much is a 16 foot 1969 Fabuglas ski boat worth?

The boat is in good condition with a new windshield, plywood floor, carpet, and a recently rebuilt original mercury 400 40 hp outboard. The engine is a two stroke 4 cylinder. The boat also comes with a hummingbird fishfinder and am/fm radio. Does anyone know much about how much these boats generally go for? If not, any idea if theres a kelly blue book or something for older boats?

Like anything its only going to be worth as much as someone is wanting to pay for it.  If you dont know how much it is worth maybe your not ready to purchase yet and need to do some more research

To be honest, I have yet to find the elusive Kelly Blue Book for watercraft.  However!  The engine is not only old, but heaven forbid that anything goes out, you might as well be looking for a new outboard.  Parts will either be hard to find, spendy or both.  The fishfinder and radio are common things that people put on most boats.  

Check for      ing, signs of taking on water, ask for a test drive, and kick the trailer tires (but not the dog.  Well ok if it's a bad dog a nudge is ok).  Make sure it has a good title.

In Idaho, I have seen a Mercury 115hp outboard, with hydralic steering, radio, on a 68 Cobia skiboat.  But the engine's parts were nearly non-existence around here, the hydralics were an aftermarket thing put on in the 80's, and the hull's fiberglass needed at least 6 to 8 hours of repairs.   How much was it?  It listed for $400, but sold for 200 with good trailer tires.

The value came from sending pics and info about the Cobia boat to the Cobia corporate office.  $400 was the highest the boat should be worth, but $200 was reasonable.

Offer them $300 and see what they say.  But as I always stress with every boat buyer, ask for a test drive!  Don't let the first trip out turn your newly purchased boat into the newest barrier reef or lake stump.

that engine is ancient.  '60-'61.  don't spend much on that rig.  $800 tops.
