Light silver frame (not green) with red Manitou forks and a fox vanilla air rear shock. Very good condition.

  1. For a '99 frame you'll be lucky to get $400 with a decent parts spec and provided that the frame, suspension pivots, and forks/shock are in good shape.  You might have a harder time getting that much money out of it in Denver, since there are thousands and thousands of used bikes for sale in that market and mountains in your back yard!   :o)

Specialized is a good brand, of course, and there's a tad more resale value in their bikes usually, but things have changed SO much in 9 years, and there were TONS of FSR's on the market.  The forks on that bike are way outdated, even if they're still in good shape, as is the Vanilla rear (also, since they used a b*****d size rear shock on the FSR for a long time, people are less likely to jump on a used one).

I'd suggest that you check out ebay to see what they've been going for...it's a decent indicator most of the time.   Also, look at the classifieds on http://www.pinkbike.com and http://www.mtbr.com .

    Hope this helps some.

  2. not as much as you would think.  Expect about 1/3 to 1/2 the price paid for a new model.
