  1. I live in MI myself, but what the heck is a Mi-Ki?  Inform me please.  There a Mi-Ti person that breeds Dobes.  Is that what you are talking about?  (no white from this breeder)

  2. I think you have your answer, Your not ready to be a breeder, There are too many animals and designer dogs out there in shelters. If you can't afford it then why bother breeding. What your asking for is a cheaper way to start a puppy mill? A true breeder represents what the breed is about and is not about rare kinds or cross-breeding? or PROFIT.  Get one as a pet. Don't contribute to the overpopulation as it is.

  3. A WHAT?! Mini Keeshond?

If you want to breed any dog, you will need a lot more than $1000 to start! You need a healthy dog from a responsible breeder who has done genetic testing before breeding. If you get a puppy, you need to wait 2 years until they are old enough to breed, than you need to get it tested to see if s/he is breedable..... THEN, you need a whelping area, and a lot of time at home with the new pups for 8 weeks.

ADD-- That site is pure c**p. I used to actually use their info a lot, until I saw the "hybrid" breeds-- these are all MUTTS being bred to make "new" dog breeds. No such responsible thing!

This should give you a clue--

According to the IMR, the Mi-Ki is a new breed started in the late 1980's by a woman who went by the name of Micki Mackin, among others.  She resided in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and it’s suburbs.  She started developing a strain of small dogs from the Papillon, Japanese Chin, Maltese and the small Shih Tzu and in 1993 there was a Papillon/Yorkshire Terrier mix stud that she introduced to some of the females.  Unfortunately, she did not keep accurate records, so the degree of mixture or combination of the breeds used is not known.

  4. MUTTS can be any price! Usually pretty cheap though. I wouldn't pay more than $100 for a mixed breed from a shelter, and I would NEVER consider breeding a mutt!

  5. can you put up a picture i have never heard of a MI-KI
