  1. I make $ 13 an hour 35 hours per week, with summers off,  with education reimbursement working for Head Start as a state licensed Lead Teacher. No one I know does this for the high income. Most are women with husbands who earn the main $ for the household.

  2. In England...its about £6.50+ an hour...usually around the £10,000-15,000 a year mark!

Depends on setting, qualifications, area etc.

  3. depends

    34000 to 48000

where do you teach means allot

  4. It depends on where you are going to teach. I was only making about 12,000 a year.

  5. I don't agree with Bernie G- I'd like to know where he got his numbers because maybe i'm working at the wrong schools. I'd say more realistically preschool teachers make between 20-35,000. Obviously it depends where you work. Small independant schools can't afford to pay teachers more, but if you get into some of the bigger companies, they are able to. It also depends if you are an assistant, teacher, lead teacher, director or site supervisor.

  6. It depends.  In Florida in a Daycare/Preschool setting, many of the teachers are making minimum wage.  In the school system, the PreK teachers have a CDA credential and are making I want to say in the 16K range.  The county that I work in, does not hire certified teachers to teach the regular education preschool classes.  I teach in a special education class which only has certified teachers in them.  Our county starts out at 31K a year.  I've been doing it for 8 years with a master's...so I am making more in the 40K range.

  7. 24,000  No benefits. Summers off.

    Montessori Credentialed

    Private Preschool

    5 years.

Southern California -- where the cost of living is too high

  8. I think I want some of what Bernie's been smoking.
