  1. $1 -  Ã‚£0.52

    $1 - 52p

London is more expensive than New York City

I dollars the average monthly rent for a two bedroom flat:

    New York City $2,000

    London $3,885

    Average Petrol/ Gas per gallon:

    USA $4

    UK $10

Everything in the UK cost around double the amount it would cost in the US but the wage of a UK is around double the amount it would be for the similar job in the US meaning the shopping works out evn both countries but if someone from UK saves their wages and goes shopping in the US lol its an all out half price sell which many of my friends do they got to NYC and buy soo much

Minimum wage in the UK is $11.15 an hour this is the lowest amount of pay anyone can get in the UK for their job.

    same as:

    $446 a week

    $23,192 a year

Me im getting $38,918 / £20,000 a year as a beginner plumber im only 17 live at home so I get to keep all the money lol. Thats is average wage like middle type jobs good jobs you get like more than double.

I should be getting $67,981 a year in 5 years time

  2. US$ 1 = £0.51

I agree with Kevin. It would be hard for you now.

Plus don´t you ever think that living in Europe is cheap...the contrary...we pay a lot of taxes, and prices aren´t cheap at all.I´m writing to you from Spain, and since the Euro came, everything is double price. The flats to rent are from 800 Euros up (which I find horrible compared to a normal Spanish citizen salary (1500 Euros, and I know a lot of people don´t reach this amount).A normal new flat (about 80-90 square meters, which isn´t big) to buy in Barcelona province is between 400.000 to 550.000 Euros...life is not easy unless you have´n´t got children, both you and your partner work and have a nice income.I cannot talk from the British point of view but I imagine life isn´t easy for them either.Plus pensions are cr@p.

Think it twice before coming over.I don´t know how hard life is in USA but I know for sure that owning a house in USA isn´t as hard as owning one in Europe.

    One US Dollar gets you this . . . . .

    1.00 USD = 0.513385 GBP

United States Dollars    United Kingdom Pounds

    1 USD = 0.513385 GBP   1 GBP = 1.94785 USD

If you are thinking of a visit to the UK - bring lots of big folding money and spend recklessly.  Enjoy.  Oh yeah!  We speak English in UK - sort of anyway.

  4. US$ 1 = £0.51

(Very bad time for you to visit the UK friend)

Yet a VERY good time for British people to visit the US

  5. i think it is about 1 pounds 88pence living in any part of the uk is not cheap now

  6. One US dollar = about £0.50 (50 pence) at the moment

  7. London is one of the most expensive cities in the world to live, i know because i live here.

1 US Dollar,  approx  50pence  in UK money

  8. Dollar is worthless

Unless you find a job in these places you can expect to run out of cash very fast.

It would be a better idea to go to Ecuador or someplace. Their currency is pegged to the dollar, and living expenses are much cheaper.

  9. $10 is roughly equal to £5 in the UK.

1 U.S. dollar = 0.513901023 British pounds to be exact.
