Question:

How much is a VISA going to the US from the Philippines?

My friend is sending me a visa application from Guam here to the Philippines,. I have been told that i have to go to the embassy once i recieve that and pay a certain amount.. Does anyone know how much it is (approxiamately). im getting a visitors visa.. thanks :)

  1. Jojo, I just want to help you manage your expectations. The DS-156 Non-Immigrant application form is found on-line. The cost of the visa is $131.00 payable in pesos at Citibank Makati and accredited BPI branches. This is non-refundable even if you are denied a visa. Payment is required before you can book an appointment (wait time is approximately 4 calendar days) Research on the documents that you need to show during the interview. The part where most fail is when you have to prove to the consular officer that you have sufficient ties to the Philppines to return after your visit. If it was your girlfriend who you planned to visit, you might have a problem. Just saying, you've got to be prepared. Good luck!


  2. The (non-refundable) visa fee is US $131.  The fee is paid prior to the visa interview.
